Let’s Nail Breast Cancer

You might be spending your October days thinking about what costume you’re wearing this year…after all, it is Halloween so no one’s blaming you. But October isn’t just about who wears what, it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Something we should all be thinking about. 

Breast Cancer is the second biggest cause of death from cancer in women; 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with it in the UK every year. However, thanks to new research, more awareness and your donations, it is being diagnosed at an earlier stage and patients are surviving longer than ever. But we still need your help. 

Who are Future Dreams? 

Founded in 2008, Future Dreams is a charity specialising in raising funds for breast cancer. After being diagnosed and losing the battle to breast cancer, mother and daughter, Sylvie Henrie and Danielle Leslie founded Future Dreams with the intention that nobody should ever have to face this illness alone. 

With the dream of living in a future free of breast cancer, Future Dreams supporters have gone on to host annual lunches, auctions and even fashion shows in the memory of Sylvie and Danielle to provide essential funding for breast cancer. 

The charity started out raising money with the first production of One Night Only and have since gone on to create campaigns and events. Future Dreams is now seen as one of the top charities and has been able to raise huge amounts of money going towards research to help prevent and support breast cancer. 

What now?

As an effort to raise more awareness and reduce the stigma around breast cancer this month, Future Dreams invites the whole beauty industry and the general public to help raise funds so we can #NailBreastCancer. Their Nail Breast Campaign partners up with nail brands, distributors and businesses to help raise money for the cause by asking people to donate an extra £2 – £5 after having a nail treatment. 

And even better, this month, we are taking part in the #NailBreastCancer campaign throughout October. We are asking you, our customers, to contribute £2 when booking the #NailBreastCancer Manicure with LeSalon. Your money will be donated to the breast cancer charity, Future Dreams. 

Breast cancer is now one of the common forms of cancer and it is time we all start thinking pink. With your donations, we can help raise funds which go towards detecting breast cancer earlier, preventing it, and stopping it taking lives. 

Not only do you get to treat yourself (which let’s be honest, it’s about time you did!), but you’ll be contributing towards a greater cause and that’s the fight against breast cancer.
