Frequently asked questions

Will I be employed by LeSalon?

Our Salonettes are freelancers and are therefore self employed. You'll need to register as self employed before joining. You can find guidance for registering as self employed on the UK Government website. You can also visit the Coconut website who provide useful tools for self-employed people.
Will I need insurance?

Yes, you will need to provide your own public liability insurance with a valid expiry date in order to work on our platform. We can help you source your insurance during your onboarding process.
How much commission does LeSalon take?

Salonettes are paid 75% of the total booking value and LeSalon take 25% commission. If a client books with a discount code the discount will not be taken from your payout, you'll still be paid for the full treatment amount.
How often will I be paid?

Payments are made every Monday to your bank account. We will email you an invoice and you'll be able to access them from the app.
How do clients pay?

Once the booking has been accepted the clients card is charged through the LeSalon system. LeSalon does not accept cash payments. Rebook payments are taken 48 hours before the booking.
How can I earn as much as possible?

To get more bookings, we recommend that you're available during peak times and make the most of our rebook feature that lets you rebook and retain your own clients. You can also set earnings targets to help you manage your goals. Our support team and app have lots of guidance to help you earn what you want.
Will I be provided with a kit?

LeSalon does not provide Salonettes with a kit; you'll need to have an approved brand kit before working on the platform. You can purchase kits from our partnered brands at a discounted price. We offer payment plans to help with the cost.
What brands are approved by LeSalon?

The nail brands we accept are: CND, Gelish, OPI, Artistic, Jessica.No other treatments require specific brands.
