The Treatment In More Detail
We've designed an expert treatment protocol which is the best in the industry to ensure you have the perfect lashes.
-
What's included
- Gently cleansing of your eyelashes and eyelid area - we recommend not wearing makeup before your treatment.
- Consultation - Your Salonette will discuss with you what type of lashes you'd like. If you're having extensions, you often have the choice between thick, curly and natural.
- Application of extensions to individual lashes along the upper lash line.
- Your eye pad is removed and you can check your lashes.
-
Consultation
Before the treatment, you will receive a lash cookbook within your confirmation email. This will include all the different types of lash extensions - length, curl, thickness. We recommend having a look over this so you have an idea of your preferred look. Your Salonette will always ask what type of look you're going for before commencing with the treatment.
-
Cleansing
It's important that your lashes are properly prepared. Make sure you've removed any makeup/products from your natural lashes before the treatment. Your Salonette will ask you to lay down on either your sofa or bed and will sterilise her hands before cleansing your lashes thoroughly.
-
Preparation
For extra protection and care, your Salonette will apply soothing pads under your eyes to cover the bottom lashes. She will then proceed to use a pre-treatment lash primer. This is used to remove any protein that is left on the lashes - usually from eye makeup that could interfere with the treatment.
-
Application
The eyelash extensions will be added on one-by-one with a tweezer for extra precision. The extensions will vary in length to give off a natural look. For a full set, your Salonette will glue on individual lashes on each natural lashes. This takes roughly 2 hours. For a half set, your Salonette will glue one an individual lash to every other lash. This will take roughly 1 hour.
-
Finishing touches
Your lashes will be brushed through and blown dry with the air blower. This helps to define the shape and ensure the lash glue is dried. If any of the lashes are stuck together, your Salonette will pull them apart with the tweezers. The eye pads will be removed, and your treatment will be complete.
Frequently asked questions
-
Our Salonettes are not required to bring their own bed.
-
If you've never had your lashes done, we recommend having a patch test at least 48 hours before your treatment. Our lash specialists will not carry out a patch test. By booking with us, you confirm that you have had one.
-
The only thing we ask is that you don't wear any makeup on the day of your treatment. Before your booking, cleanse your face, particularly your eyes, thoroughly.
-
Typically, eyelash extensions have a lifespan of around 50 days, the same as your natural lashes. Like all hair, lashes shed naturally with a cycle of 50 days. So as long as the extensions stay connected, they'll fall out when your natural ones do. Some may fall out earlier than that but the majority will last many weeks.
